Full-Day Trujillo Archaeology

Trip introduction

Peru is a large country rich in culture and tradition. On this tour, join us as we discover Trujillo, considered the largest city in Northern Peru. During this tour, we will have the opportunity to appreciate a colonial city, highlighted by its famous Plaza de Armas, its beautiful bright yellow cathedral, and colonial buildings such as the blue Urquiaga House.

The Chimu Kingdom once flourished in this region, whose mud city, now called Chan Chan, is considered a World Heritage Site and is known as the largest mud city in the Americas.

During this day, we will witness that the country's history not only dates back to the Inca period but goes much further back, gradually discovering what the great Chimu Kingdom was like, visiting its sacred pyramid temples such as the Huaca del Sol y la Luna (Huaca of the Sun and the Moon).

We will take advantage of the sunset to reach the Huanchaco area, where the famous reed boat is still used for artisanal fishing.
