In this full day tour we will be able to learn more about the Amazon jungle of Peru, sailing through the most beautiful lake in the Amazon where we will see animals in their natural and pure state, alligators, otters, monkeys will be appreciated freely and we will also taste the food local with a typical lunch of the region.
Day 1: PUERTO MALDONADO – LAKE SANDOVAL
After the scheduled breakfast at your hotel, our staff will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the port of the city called Puerto Triunfo to make a journey for 15 minutes downstream until you reach the Madre Dios river until you reach our hostel where we can leave part of our equipment that we will not use on our excursion, we will have time to organize ourselves and from our hostel we will move to the shores of Lake Sandoval where we will hike for approximately 1 hour exploring the outskirts of the place and to better appreciate part of the wildlife of the place.
Already in the lake we will take a paddle of the canoe and we will begin the navigation enjoying the wild life of the place and the peace that can be felt when being away from civilization, and at noon we will have lunch in a restaurant in the area and for those who wish after lunch they can safely swim in the same lake.
Finally we will return to the hostel to finally be transferred to the city of Puerto Maldonado.

ARRIVAL IN PUERTO MALDONADO
All our services start at the airport of the city of Puerto Maldonado or at its land terminal, as the starting point for our pick up to be transferred to your hotel or at the beginning of your tour, our team will be ready to provide you with all the necessary logistics. at no additional cost.

WHEN DO I MAKE THE FINAL PAYMENT OF THE TOUR?

CAN I CHANGE THE DEPARTURE DATE AFTER I HAVE PURCHASED THE TICKETS?
For all our tours with the exception of Machu Picchu, Inca Trail, Salkantay, yes! is possible to modify the date without any cost, this must be communicated to our staff as soon as possible in order to carry out the procedures for the modification with a new date.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH ALTITUDE SICKNESS?
Puerto Maldonado is a city located in the Amazon of Peru, therefore the altitude level of the region is extremely low, the probability of altitude sickness is impossible,, but we recommend that if your trip extends to other regions of the country such as Cusco, Puno,Any good experience will depend on a good physical condition, if you practice any physical activity regularly you should not worry about a possible altitude sickness, however as an additional recommendation we suggest acclimatizing, in this sense you should consider spending at least 3 days to do some walk and 1 day to be able to carry out some activity or cultural tour.
There are medications that could achieve better acclimatization, but since we are not doctors, we suggest you drink plenty of water and coca infusions to achieve better acclimatization.
