Trip introduction
One of the greatest milestones in the history of world archaeology is, without a doubt, the discovery in 1987 of the tomb of the Lord of Sipán. This discovery, considered unrelated to that of Tutankhamun in egypt, raised great expectations among historians around the world as it represented the discovery of one of the most ancient and revered rulers of ancient Peru, who was even considered a demigod in his time.

Overview
Let's discover together during this 3-day tour through the north of the country the secrets of the Lord of Sipán, alongside the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, and gain a deeper understanding of the ancient history of this country full of mysteries and magic, Peru.
Dia 1: Trujillo and its worships – Chan Chan city – Huanchaco – Trujillo
We will begin our tour by picking you up from your hotels and begin a visit to one of the most impressive and largest structures in the north of our country: the Huacas of the Sun and the Moon. Their massive pyramidal structures will take us back to the Moche culture, probably built around 100 AD.
This archaeological site still shows many evidences of architecture, painting, and ceramics crafted by its inhabitants, notable for its highly preserved polychrome high-relief murals. We will return to the city of Trujillo in the afternoon for lunch at a restaurant in the city center, where we will have the opportunity to sample some of the local cuisine.
After lunch, we will head to Chan Chan, which is now considered the largest pre-Hispanic mud city in the Americas. We will have the opportunity to tour part of its ceremonial palaces, where high-relief designs with marine motifs from the Peruvian coast can still be appreciated. This site is considered a World Heritage Site.
Finally, after our tour of the mud city, we will continue our journey to the resort of Huanchaco, where artisanal fishermen stand out, who to this day still use their famous totora reed boats for their daily fishing. At the end, we will return to downtown Trujillo to reach the hotel.
Day 2: Trujillo – The Witcher and the Lady of Cao – Trujillo
For this second day we will pick you up from your hotel in Trujillo to begin our tour heading north of the city taking the highway towards the city of Chiclayo. Part of the way we will make a stop to visit the Huaca del Brujo, which is located about 30 minutes from the main highway from where we will have the best views of part of the Peruvian coast.
Here, we will appreciate beautiful murals where Peruvian archaeologists discovered years ago the famous Lady of Cao, considered one of the few pre-Hispanic female rulers in the region. We will also have the opportunity to visit the on-site museum and discover more than 5,000 years of living history.
In the afternoon, we will continue our journey to the city of Chiclayo, arriving at approximately 9 p.m., where we will spend the night in a hotel in the city center.
Day 3: Chiclayo - Sipán Museum + Huaca Rajada - Chiclayo
This day we begin our tour in Chiclayo, visiting the archaeological complex of Huaca Rajada, where the tomb of the Lord of Sipán, considered the ruler of this part of the region, was found. We will take advantage of our visit to visit the on-site museum and learn a little more about the excavation and restoration process.
We will continue our visit by arriving at the Bruning Museum, where a wide variety of Lambayeque cultural artifacts are collected, such as jewelry, ceramics, and objects made of different materials.
Northern Peru boasts a rich and unique gastronomy. We will stop in the city of Chiclayo for lunch and to enjoy the local cuisine.
In the afternoon, we continue our tour to the Royal Tombs of the Lord of Sipán Museum in Lambayeque, considered one of the 10 best museums in the world. Today, the original remains of the Lord of Sipán are on display, along with more than 400 pieces, including ear spools, necklaces, jewelry, ornaments, and headdresses crafted in gold, silver, turquoise, spondyllus, cotton, and feathers.
Finally, our tour will end at the city's airport or bus terminal so you can continue your journey to your next destination.
