Trip introduction
Salkantay is the second highest mountain in the Cusco region and today it is considered a protective God for the inhabitants of the Andes, from where Salkantay passes we can easily see how the ecosystem changes quickly as it passes through the region's wild zone.
Near Salkantay we have another snowfall that is Humantay, which at its base is perhaps one of the most beautiful lakes in Peru that bears the same name. In our 2-day expedition we will have the opportunity to see the human lake by taking a hike up to 4200m to spend the night in our camp and on the second day we will climb the Salkantay pass at 4600m to enjoy this natural wonder.
