Our walk to the 7 Ausangate lagoons is an experience that mixes the Andean landscape and the mysticism that even the local people preserve. On this trip we will be in direct contact with the natural life of the locals surrounded by their flora and fauna, from Surely the landscape will leave us breathless since during the day we will discover 7 of the lagoons that are at the base of this imposing snow-capped peak whose colors vary from one another depending on the season in which we are.

Overview
Ausangate is the highest mountain in the Cusco region and the tour of the 7 lagoons is the shortest option that exists to be close to this snow-capped mountain. Our hike will not be completely demanding since the path is largely flat with some climbs but nothing steep, we will know lagoons that still keep their authentic name, along the way we will always be with a view of these imposing mountains which are considered as Gods by the people who inhabit the area.
**** In case you consider that the walk will be difficult for you, already in the place you can rent a horse from the locals. Horses can walk along the path with out any problema. the cost is about 80 soles round trip.
Day 1: CUSCO – 7 LAGOONS OF AUSANGATE – CUSCO
Early in the morning from 4:00am. we will pick up our clients from their respective hotels and then at 5 in the morning we will leave the city towards the town of Ocongate and finally arrive at the community of Pacchanta, here we will be able to organize the things that we will take for the walk and in the same way we will take the opportunity to have an American breakfast that gives us the necessary energy to carry out the walk.
The route has a total distance of 10 km. Which are developed in an approximate time of 6 hours in total. At approximately 9 in the morning we will start the hike, the first part of the trail is on relatively flat terrain with no steep ascents, possibly the only complication will be the height at which we are going to hike since we will be over 4500 meters above sea level and the highest point we will reach will be 4800 meters.
Already at the very base of Nevado Ausangate we will discover one after another each lagoon in the place, highlighting many of them due to their color, shape and names that have been maintained over the years, many of these still bear the names in QUECHUA ( native language of the region).
During our tour we will also see alpacas being freely grazed in the fields and in the same way local people who are dedicated to the elaboration of fabrics using the natural fiber of their animals.
We will be approximately back to Pacchanta at 2:00 pm. To enjoy lunch and later we will have an approximate 1 hour so that you can enjoy the thermal baths of the place since thanks to its medicinal properties it will help you relax the muscles later. of the hike.
Finally we will board our transport to return to Cusco arriving in the city at approximately 6:00 pm.

ARRIVAL IN CUSCO

WHEN DO I MAKE THE FINAL PAYMENT OF THE TOUR?

CAN I CHANGE THE DEPARTURE DATE AFTER I HAVE PURCHASED THE TICKETS?

WHAT HAPPENS WITH ALTITUDE SICKNESS?
