Trip introduction
The 3-day walk to Huchuy Qosqo is an alternative for those looking for an option outside the commons, escaping the traditional paths that are well known such as the Inca Trail or Salkantay, with the objective of reaching Machu Picchu.
This place is located at the top of the sacred valley exactly in the community of Lamay for which we will cross part of the high Andean territory where we will appreciate the local flora and fauna and we will also use small stretches of the original Inca trail to reach this interesting place.

Overview
The itinerary has a duration of 3 days where we give the opportunity to our travelers to culminate their trip with the visit to Machu Picchu , for which we leave the city of Cusco and climb to the top of the mountain where we can appreciate typical landscapes Altoandinos in the middle of some lagoons of the place, we will enjoy the view of the snowy mountains of what the Cordillera del Vilcanota is supposed to be, where the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas can be found.
Day 1: CUSCO – PATABAMBA – HUCHUY QOSQO
Our adventure begins by picking you up from the hotel at 5 in the morning and then starting our trip leaving the city of Cusco towards the community of Patabamba, this journey will take us approximately 1 hour.
Once in the community, we will prepare our travel equipment to start the walk through a very steep ascent for approximately 4 hours (the walking time will depend on the pace and physical preparation you have) after this time we will reach the highest point of the walk where we will be able to enjoy a view of all that are the mountains that make up the sacred valley of the Incas, after a short rest we will begin the descent to the community of Pucamarca to explore the ruins of the place a little.
We will continue the walk through an original Inca trail to the archaeological center of Huchuy Qosqo. We will have some time to explore the place on our own and then our guide will provide us with all the information regarding the place. Once the visit is over, we will descend to the town of Lamay located approximately 2 hours from Huchuy Qosqo where our transportation will be waiting for us. to take us to the town of Ollantaytambo and spend the night in a local lodging.
Day 2: OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES
After a buffet breakfast we will take advantage of part of the morning to fully visit the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo and also the Pinkuylluna food stores. Ollantaytambo is considered the living Inca city since it still retains the same architectural design that was planned during the Inca occupation. It is also from here that we will board our train to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon, the train journey lasts 1 hour and a half and along the way we will see how the vegetation of the region changes, becoming much more tropical and with the presence of greater humidity. in the environment.
Already in the town of Aguas Calientes we will go to our hotel to leave our luggage and if you like you can go to the thermal baths to relax the muscles prior to our visit to Machu Picchu.
Day 3: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
The big day has arrived! Our guide will go through your hotel to take you to the bus station where you will board and after 30 minutes of travel you will finally arrive at the main gate of the Inca city, it is mandatory to pass the checkpoints but Before that, we recommend you use the bathrooms since within the Inca city there is no possibility of using this service and if you leave the place you will not have the option to enter again.
Already in the Inca city our guide will show you the best places to take the classic photos with Machu Picchu in the background and later they will have a complete guide of the city where you will visit temples, squares, houses and other buildings of the place to finally after 2 hours and a half of the guided tour will return to Aguas Calientes by bus to have lunch and board the return train to Ollantaytambo where our driver will be waiting for you to bring you back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:30 in the afternoon.

ARRIVAL IN CUSCO
All our services start at the airport of the city of Cusco where our driver will be waiting for the arrival of your flight to be able to drive you to the hotel of your choice, this service has no additional cost.

THE BRIEFING
The briefing is the information that is provided to our clients prior to a trip, this will be done one night before the selected activity at the hotel of their stay. In general, the schedule will depend on the other activities that you have planned to carry out, but many times it usually takes place between 6 and 7 at night.
HOW CAN I BOOK THE HUCHUY QOSQO TREK TO MACHU PICCHU 3 DAYS TOUR?
To start a reservation, the first thing we request is your personal data along with the details of the date you would like to do the walk, then we will request an advance payment of 40% of the total value of the walk in order to generate the purchase of the necessary tickets for the tour.
After the deposit, our reservation staff will send you the confirmation of the reservation of the Tour which will include the DATE, NAME OF THE TOUR, PERSONAL DATA OF THE CLIENT, AMOUNT DEPOSITED AND AMOUNT PENDING PAYABLE UPON ARRIVAL IN THE CITY.

WHEN DO I MAKE THE FINAL PAYMENT OF THE TOUR?
In general, the total payment must be made upon arrival, we recommend making the payment in cash, due to commission issues from international banks that may be unfavorable to you in case you want to make a payment with your credit card. Our staff gives you more details about it.
CAN I CHANGE THE DEPARTURE DATE AFTER I HAVE PURCHASED THE TICKETS?
For all our tours with the exception of Machu Picchu, Inca Trail, Salkantay, yes! is possible to modify the date without any cost, this must be communicated to our staff as soon as possible in order to carry out the procedures for the modification with a new date.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH ALTITUDE SICKNESS?
Any good experience will depend on a good physical condition, if you practice any physical activity regularly you should not worry about a possible altitude sickness, however as an additional recommendation we suggest acclimatizing, in this sense you should consider spending at least 3 days to do some walk and 1 day to be able to carry out some activity or cultural tour.
There are medications that could achieve better acclimatization, but since we are not doctors, we suggest you drink plenty of water and coca infusions to achieve better acclimatization.
