After lunch at 1:30 pm we will go to the Cathedral of Cusco. The cathedral is considered the second most beautiful cathedral in the South American continent. Here we will enter and appreciate the works of the Cusco School paintings which highlight unique syncretism of the Andean culture. We will go on a short walk for about 10 minutes to the Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha. Qoricancha was once the most important for the Andean culture. Here you will clearly see the perfect architecture that was stood for over 500 years even after the arrival of the conquistadors. Afterwards we will journey outside the city to visit Inca places like Sacsayhuaman, Quenqo, Pucara, and Tambomacha. We wil return to the city in the afternoon at approximately 7:00 pm.

We will drive to the town of Tipon to observe the inspiring hydraulic engineering of our Inca ancestors. After a brief educational tour by our guide we will continue to Pikillacta; one of the first urban centers of the pre-Inca which was dominated by Waris. Here we will learn more about the culture that developed years before Christ. We will end our visit in the chapel of Andahuylillas also known as the Sistine Chapel of America because of the large decoration which resides inside.

At 8:30 am we will board a bus bound for the town of Pisac. After a 40-minute drive we arrive at the town that is the gateway to what is known as the Sacred Valley. We will then continue 15 minutes further by bus to reach this archaeological complex of Pisac from Inca times. Our guide will show us the most important places in the area which include religious area of Pisac and its cemetery which was the largest in the pre-colonial era. We will return to the village to have a brief stop in the colonial market where you can make some purchases.
After we are finished we can continue by bus which will follow the river Wilkamayu (aka, the sacred river) to reach the capital of the Sacred Valley "Urubamba." Here we will have a lunch buffet with all the traditional foods of the area and international cuisine. Our next stop after lunh is the village of Ollantaytambo (a.ka. the living Inca city). The town still retains its original architecture from pre-colonial times. We will visit its archaeological complex to learn more about this magnificent place and learn about the techniques used for its construction. Upon completion of our tour we will go to the station to board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes for the next day to visit one of the 7 wonders of the world.

This is our Day!!! We’ll catch the first bus leaving from Aguas Calientes at 5:30am to Machu Picchu City. After we enter the check point with our guide we’ll walk for 7 or 10 minutes to experience the panoramic view of the city and depending on weather condition we could see the sunrise. We will explore the city for 2 or 3 hours while visiting the most important sectors inside and listening the wealth of historical information from our guide. After the tour you could explore the place on your own. AT the end of the day we will return to Aguas Calientes to catch the train to Cusco.

We will focus on this day to visit and learn a little more about agriculture and textiles. Our first stop we will be at Chinchero which is located about 3800 meters from where we will visit the Inca site. This textile area will help us learn the process of textileria where they use plants to provide natural color to the plant tissue. After this we will travel to moray. Moray is an Inca site which was used to adapt different plants to different types of ecosystems. Finally, we will travel to maras to learn more about the drying process for precious ore that is used for local consumption. We will then return to Cusco in the afternoon.

At this juncture, we already know practically everything around Cusco. Now it's time to learn a little more of the city. For this we will travel to the San Pedro Market to see local life unfold. We will tour the museum of the Garcilaso house to take a few moments to view the artwork and colonial paintings. Finally we will travel to the Inca museum where we see the largest number of pieces that are 100% original Inca and learn about the chronologically of the first inhabitants in Peru.
