The Inca living city of Ollantaytambo, cannot miss of our list and that is why we devote a whole morning to fully explore and later take the train to Aguas Calientes to finally reach to one of the 7 wonders of the world and visit the magician Machu Picchu

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Biking on Sacayhuaman and Surroundings

Part of all our packages is to provide assistance since you get off the plane that is why we will be attentive to your arrival to take it directly to your hotel and so can rest a little. In the afternoon hours after lunch we will go to the outskirts of the city, our objective is that you visit the places near Cusco not in a very traditional way, if on the contrary, riding our bikes and pedaling to the Plaza de Armas, Stopping at each of the places of the Inca times such as Tambomachay, Quenqo, Pucapucara and Sacsayhuaman, where our guide will give you all the information of each of these places and show you the best points to have the best panoramic photos of the city . Our day will culminate in our Hotel to rest and the next day to continue our adventure through the mountains of the region.

Day 2: Cusco – Quad Bikes on Maras –Ollantaytambo

After a very energetic breakfast, we will board the transport that will take us to the town of Maras that is located about 50 minutes from the city, we will have an informative safety briefing by our guides and some minutes of training in our quad bikes. The first place to visit will be the lagoon of Huaypo that for its location and some hills surrounding it makes it a spectacular landscape. We will add a bit of speed and some adrenaline to our blood to reach the agricultural laboratory of moray and to be able to understand the system of adaptation of plants to different ecological ecosystems of the region during the Inca time. We cannot leave this area without visiting the salt mines of Maras, there are more than 10000 pools that are being watered daily with water that leaves the sub floor, and then pass through an evaporation system that leaves the salt to be marketed in the Local markets of the Sacred Valley. Will finish the day having a lunch in Urubamba that the capital of the Sacred Valley and later going to Ollantaytambo in our transport to spend the night.

Day 3: Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

Ollantaytambo is considered as the Inca living city because its streets, squares and water channels still remain original since the Inca times, it is for that reason that we will start the morning exploring some recondite places and then we will walk inside the archaeological complex accompanied by Our guide who will tell us the history of each places we visit. Our idea is to visit the place with as few people as possible and thus to have a more intimate contact with the place. In the afternoon we will take the train from the village station to Aguas Calientes, if you want to relax you can go to the hot springs or stay in the hotel to rest.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Our first objective for today is to arrive to Machu Picchu as early as possible and if we have good weather conditions we can appreciate the sunrise, we will take the first bus that leaves at 5:30 am from Aguas Calientes towards Machu Picchu. We will have the opportunity to climb to the top of the citadel where our guide will show you the best places to take a photo as always dreamed. Accompany our host who will lead you through the most important sectors of the city in a journey of 2 to 3 hours will explain and solve your questions about this wonderful place called Machu Picchu. You can also walk into the city once more on your own and if you wish you can go to the Inca bridge which is located about 30 minutes inside the citadel, to finally return to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco - Departure

After 4 days full of adventure, adrenaline and speed, we have to bid farewell to Cusco and all its charms. According to the departure of your flight, we will take you to the airport and wish you have a good return home.
